Headwear

5 products

Headwear is the one part of a branded kit with no sizing problem: every cap and beanie here is one size, so you order a headcount instead of a size run and nobody is left out. The 12 piece minimum is the lowest in the line, and the knit watch beanie comes in safety yellow and safety orange if the crew works near traffic or heavy equipment.

Choosing between the five

The two beanies split on origin and price. The Knit Watch Beanie is made in the USA, comes in nine colors including safety yellow and safety orange, and is the one to pick when the program has a domestic sourcing requirement or when visibility matters on site. The Knit Work Beanie is 100% stretchable acrylic in five colors, about a dollar cheaper per piece, and it is the sensible choice for a large winter handout where nobody is checking the label. Among the caps, all three share the same 6 panel, medium crown, snapback build and the same price. The Red Label Trucker Cap has a moisture-wicking sweatband, which is the one difference that matters for outdoor summer work. The Grey Claw Label 6 Panel Cap uses a 100% cotton sweatband and carries the Wolverine claw. The Pencil Cap is the quietest of the three, in true black, dark grey and cedar, for programs where your logo should be the only thing anyone reads.

Decoration and placement

Caps take apparel embroidery on the front panel as standard, and apparel digital transfer when the artwork is multi-color or photographic. Beanies are embroidered on the cuff, which limits how tall the mark can be, so a wide logo lockup usually reads better than a tall one; if your logo is a stacked lockup, send it and we will show you both on the proof. Cap colors run onyx, black olive, chestnut and grey, with the Pencil Cap in its own three, and the safety colors on the watch beanie are worth ordering in a separate block if half your crew is in the yard and half in the office. Setup is $55 per decoration, once per order, and every order gets a free digital proof before anything is stitched.

Real numbers before you ask for a quote

Decorated pricing at the 12 piece minimum: Knit Work Beanie $24.18, Knit Watch Beanie $25.06, all three caps $28.69. The headwear ladder is long rather than steep, with breaks at 175, 350, 500 and 650 pieces, landing at $21.08, $21.85 and $25.00 respectively at 650. In practice that means a 40 piece order and a 150 piece order cost nearly the same per cap, so there is no reason to under-order for a crew program. Headwear is the cheapest way into this line and the usual pairing with a backpack or duffle when a kit needs a second item.
